The Toothpaste of the Stars: Find Out What Your Favorite Celebrities Are Brushing With

What do Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp, Adam Sandler, Matt Lauer, Elizabeth Taylor and me all have in common? No, it is not our extraordinary intelligence. Not even individual irresistible char. No, you may be surprised to know that all six of us use the exact same toothpaste.

When it comes to toothpaste, I have never been one to invest any unnecessary extra funds. In other words, those whitening agents that brands like Crest or Arm & Hammer or any of the other leading toothpaste manufacturers proclaim will change your life- I never really bought into that. Those white strip things, the latest fad in the teeth cleaning industry, seem slightly more believable to me, but the official “whitening toothpastes” do not appear to actually work. And the white strips require too much patience and effort. I can only speak for myself, as I have yet to consult the masses on the effectiveness of tooth products, but I have spoken to one or two of my peers and the consensus so far appears to be that these agents do not work as well as people would like. I do not necessarily doubt that the extra whitening components in these popular brands improve the teeth’s appearance over time, but I think I can speak for many people when I say that I’d prefer a much faster result.

Repairing the damage I had done to my teeth was not a feat I could foresee accomplishing any time soon. Don’t get me wrong, they weren’t horrendous to a point that they could not blend in with other smiles in a picture full of people. I am not under the impression that my imperfectly colored teeth were the subject of anyone’s particular attention in one way or another. But, just like most people I know, they came to show some typical wear and tear over time and I desired to simply look my best. And my super advanced whitening, ultra whitening, extra whitening or whatever names they chose to market these seemingly useless and more expensive products were not really doing the trick. In order to rid myself of the coffee stains, discoloring from soft drinks and a rather dull yellowing that typically occurs on the teeth with continual exposure to various chemicals and substances, I considered professional help. I had decided that one day, when I had the time and money, I would consult an expert in cosmetic dentistry and undergo some sort of great whitening procedure.
